Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin McCollister worked for several years as a deckhand on the Mississippi River. He later lived in Boston, Massachusetts where he studied film and drama at Harvard Extension. Employed by the Writers Guild of America, he has lived in Los Angeles for more than two decades.
