A very good idea with one flaw – ebooks are not included. That makes it expensive for people like me (I live in India) who have to pay steep delivery charges. I would recommend it wholeheartedly if ebooks were also included

This is such a fabulous idea! I joined up and within a few hours already had a code to use on my first book. I chose the ebook/hard copy combo of a new release and downloaded the ebook right away, and will receive the hard copy as soon as it is available. The value of the membership is incredible – I wouldn’t have been able to get that book (or many of the others Rocky Nook has) for such a price as I can with the membership (even with all the great specials and sales Rocky Nook has). Redeeming the voucher is uncomplicated – the hardest part is deciding which book to order! Highly recommended.

The idea is good. However, I only buy e-books. There are two reasons for this.
One – I have to conserve space at home!
Second – as Jayanand has mentioned, I live in India. Paying customs and delivery charges can make this very expensive

One of the best investment I make in every 3 months. I get the books I wanted with a deep discount, and the eBooks virtually at a throw away price. And cherry on the top, every 3 months, I get to choose a book of my liking free of cost (yeah! you read that right!). I reside in India, and the cost of these books shoots up to unbelievable price when I order them from Amazon, or some other sites, but with the Rocky nook book club, I just have to pay the International shipping price (which is very low as compared to the books price in those websites). Thanks Rocky nook for the initiative, and I really love the shiny new books I get every 3 months with this. Please continue the good initiative and involve few more Photographers (e.g. Matt Kloskowski, Dave Cross, Lindsay Adler to name a few) to write your books.

Looking through my bookshelf, I found that many of the photography books I have purchased have come from Rocky Nook, so it just made sense to sign up for this program. My first book, Guy Tal’s Landscape Photographer’s Guide to Photoshop, arrived immediately by email and just a few days later in the mail. The quality of books published is high, the subjects broad, and the RN blog is also a great resource. Glad I joined!

I love Rocky Nook! Simple as that! Living in Scotland i like the decent shipping costs, the fact they respond helpfully to all email i send and most of all the quality of the books they publish. As many will know, there are lots of sub standard photography books out there. Rocky Nook feed the centre of your understanding so your photography gets better if that makes sense? rather than just teaching basic principals (which they do explain well) they go below that, beneath it, and really improve your approach in a way no other publisher does. They pick superb authors as well. I am lazy and never write reviews (shame on me) bt felt compelled to write one for RN! In short, can’t recommend enough!

Thank you RockyNook for inviting me to this great book club! I have just received my 1st book – Chris Orwig’s Authentic Portraits – and this is the best photography book I ever bought! The book arrived intact via DHL earlier than expected and I was sooo happy when I opened it for the 1st time – so beautiful, nice paper, great quality of photos, great contrast (black font on white paper) – a pleasure to read! I purchased a few eBooks from this site so far and this was the 1st hard copy book ordered (as a club member I payed only the shipping cost – I live in Serbia)… I will continue my membership and enjoy your great discounts and even better books! The Rocky Nook Book Club is a great idea! I enjoy reading the books published by Rocky Nook. There has not been a quarter that I have had difficulty selecting a book. Rocky Nook is always publishing something that piques my curiosity. The writers are photographers who know how to reach their audience. A Rocky Nook book teaches one to be a better photographer, a more thoughtful photographer. I have learned so much from reading these books. A great selection of books made even more affordable. What’s not to like?

I am so glad I signed up for the Rocky Nook Book Club. The wide range of books offer a variety of inspiration and instruction, and new titles come up regularly. In fact, many of my photography books were from Rocky Nook, even before I started my subscription. The books are well written and easy to follow, with beautiful illustrations.I especially like being able to access the PDF version before the physical book is available. it helps to keep my momentum and enthusiasm going!
