This is exactly the book I was looking for. The book is well-organized; the author’s text is accessible; she offers multiple examples. After reading “The Photographer’s Guide to Posing” I will be very well prepared for a fashion workshop I’m attending in early March.

Very helpful. One might imagine from the cover that this is a book only about posing women, and maybe even a book it would be best not to read publicly. With the exception of the chapter on boudoir photography, the book is very helpful and covers posing men, women, families, and more. A unique perspective on the book, perhaps, is that most of us not only like to take good photographs, but to look reasonably good in photographs taken of us. The chapter on “Posing Men” was helpful to me in imagining myself on the other side of the camera. Similarly, my wife read “Posing Pitfalls,” because most of us are not aware of the importance of arm and hand placement, or our the importance of our stance. Very helpful. A worthwhile purchase.

Posing is one of my sticking points. This book took the mystery out of how to get the best poses and illustrates what NOT to do. Many photos to show the right and wrong.
